Hello and welcome back. Today I’m going to talk about and show you some of the greatest creations in the world built by “man-kind”. I’m talking about megalithic sites that were build several hundred years ago in the past.
Speaking for myself, these site are quite truly amazing. Built from stone and intense labor from our cousins in the past, these site are a true testament of “man-kinds” ingenuity and creativeness in a time when “man” was supposed to not have any.
Here are a few examples
The pyramids of Egypt are still to this day considered as one of mans greatest accomplishments, but the Pyramid of Giza is the largest of them all. It is made of an estimated 2.3 million blocks and it’s been said that this site was built within a twenty year span. This means that the laborers of this site were placing 800 stones a day. That in its self is an amazing act.
The second site that I find to be impressive is a pyramid that can be found in Mexico. The One in particular that I’m speaking of is the pyramid of Teotihuacán which translates to: “City of the Gods” in Latin, but also translates to: “Where Men Became Gods”.
It is said that Teotihuacán was the birthplace of creation. the Sun Pyramid was approximately 215 by 215 m at the base, and about 63 m high. Now, there is evidence that suggests that Teotihuacan was a multi-ethnic. It consised of distinct quarters that were occupied by Otomi, Zapotec, Mixtec, Maya and Nahua peoples. It is also been said that the Totonacs were the ones who built it.
The last site is the under ground city of The underground city of Derinkuyu. This city has 18 stories that are built underground. With in the city there are residences, communal rooms, tunnels, wine cellars, oil presses, stables and chapels. Derinkuyu could have easily supported as many as 20,000 people.
Personally, I think this site is on of the most amazing creations of them all. its amazing of the amount of high mathematics and engineering that it took to create such a city, that was functional.
These are some of the worlds and man-kinds greatest achievements. I think what I find to be the most amazing about these sites is the amount of work, determination, ingenuity and thought, that was used to produce theses structures. I believe that these structures will be seen by peoples long after our own civilizations have past and that we can still learn from our own histories.
